History

Software Developer @ Digital Futures • Present

Formal: Digital Innovation Officer

Carrying on from my apprenticeship, I create software for the Trust and external teams - with a focus on innovation and XR Unity applications.

Software Apprentice @ Torbay South Devon NHS Foundation Trust • 2024-2025

Formal: Digital Innovation Apprentice

Achieved a distinction Level 4 Software Developer qualification.

Alongside academia, I created VR applications for the local hospital and teams, focusing on performance that could scale to mobile Android hardware.

Software aside - I was involved in stakeholder comms, pricing up goods, running pop-ups and demoing projects to clinicians and partners from companies such as Microsoft.

Student Placement @ Torbay South Devon NHS Foundation Trust • 2023

I created VR applications for children and programmed proof of concept frontend/backend form systems for the local hospital.

This was my first big step into industry - I got involved in scoping meetings, talking to doctors, networking and picked up a lot of skills through my co-workers and 'doing'.

Student Placement @ Maven Creative • 2022

As a student I met the team, provided feedback and produced wireframes for the company's website.

Full-Time Software Student @ South Devon College • 2022-2023

Formal: T-Level Digital Production, Design & Development Student

I studied the design, implementation and testing of software. This included web development, data analysis, design/documentation, and penetration testing.

For my exam I created a weather alerts website. It had a functional dashboard with graphs, pulled from real APIs and an account system with data stored in SQL.
